A placeholder can be used to make sure your index will remain in case of a deletion. It can also be used as a short memo to the buy side that information of a (sub)folder is not relevant.
Placeholders are not documents and cannot be opened. The message: "You can only download documents or a single folder. Please update your selection and try again." will be displayed.
