What is an Organization Owner and how to appoint multiple?
The person who created a new Organization within Virtual Vaults, will automatically be appointed as the primary Organization Owner. Some additional features are available to the Organization Owner only.
What else can the Organization owner do?
|1. The Organization owner is the only one who can delete other users from the Organization. Normal users can only delete themselves from an Organization.|
|2. View your subscriptions and invoices. The Organization owner is the only one who can access all active subscriptions and invoices for the customer linked to the Organization. The Organization owner is also the one to manage and update this.|
|3. See the overview of every workspace in the Organization. Unlike regular Organization users, who only see the Workspaces they have access to, an Organization Owner sees every Workspace created within their Organization, even those those they don't have access to.
This does not mean they can actually access them.
As you can read above, the Organization Owner has a pretty important role in our platform. Please click the following link to see all differences between "regular" Organization users and the Organization owner(s).
It is important this user can fully commit to this task, in case something needs to be arranged. But what if the Organization Owner for whatever reason is no longer able to carry out this task? We have the possibility to grant multiple users this ownership.
The primary owner can do this via the Organization overview in My Virtual Vaults. In the steps below it is explained how this can be arranged.
By granting a user the ownership, they can now perform all actions any owner can, as stated in the following article: Differences between users in your Organization.
Owners can also revoke each other's ownership. They can do this in the same way as they granted it and once again, a confirmation screen will pop up.
