The deviation icon reminds you that you have permissions for a folder or document that have been manually set and are different from the parent folder's permissions.
An example:
- You have granted view online permissions to a buyer group for all of the folders. If you manually change it for a subfolder or document inside to grant download original permissions on that subfolder or document, a deviation icon will appear next to it (see below).
Different icons
In the example below, you see the three different scenarios:
- Folder contains item(s) with deviating permissions (look at the Index line)
- Folder is deviating from its parent level, and contains items with deviating permissions (look at folder 4's line)
- Folder or document is deviating from its parent level (look at subfolder 4.4's line)
Roles & Permissions Tip: To make sure all permissions are set correctly, download a Permission Report in the Reports section.
