Feel free to contact Customer Support when you experience any issues regarding uploading documents.
Document is open on your PC
If a document is open on your PC you cannot upload it.
Solution: Close the document on your PC, and try to upload again.
Too long folder paths of upload location
If the document name including the folder path of the document you want to upload is more than 255 characters, this document cannot be uploaded from your Windows machine. Mac-users won't experience such issue.
An example of a too long folder path including document name:
C:\Users\JonathanCristopherDoe\OneDrive - Company Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet\Work\Documents\Lorem Ipsum\Dolor sit amet\Consectetur adipiscing elit\Due Diligence\Project Blue Moon Rising\Phase 1 Vendor Due Diligence\Chesterfield Inc\General Information\Service Agreement XYZ.pdf
Solution: Drag your documents to a location where the path is significantly shorter and try to upload from there. This can be your Desktop for example.
Example: C:\Users\JonathanCristopherDoe\Desktop\General Information\Service Agreement XYZ.pdf
Document cannot be saved in storage
If there is a problem writing the file in our storage we will prevent to complete the upload, because the document will not be uploaded properly. Users in the Vault will not be able to consult the document.
Solution: Cancel the upload completely. Try the upload again and make sure you do this with a recommended browser and stable internet connection.
