Troubleshoot for document uploads
Are you experiencing issues when uploading documents? We're happy to help you troubleshoot.
One of the following issues might be causing an error when uploading documents:
Problem: If your computer does not meet the requirements to have an optimal user experience in the Vault, you might experience issues when uploading files.
Solution: Visit Requirements for using the Virtual Vaults platform and implement the necessary changes in your setup.
Problem: If a document is open on your PC, you cannot upload it.
Solution: Close the document on your PC and try to upload again.
Problem: If the document name (including the folder path to the document) you want to upload is more than 255 characters, it cannot be uploaded from your Windows machine. Mac-users won't experience this issue.
Solution: Drag your documents to a location where the path is significantly shorter and try to upload from there. We recommend your C:/ Drive or Desktop.
Problem: If the upload failed, it is possible there was a problem when writing the file to our storage.
Solution: Cancel the upload completely. Try the upload again and make sure you do this with a recommended browser and stable internet connection.
