Users can set statuses to folders or files that they're assigned to and use it to keep track of their tasks. Via the progress bar, everyone can see the progress of a data collection. Lock top-level folders and files when all tasks are set to done.
Users can change the status of a folder or file in two places:
|
1. In the folder structure or document list section: |
|
2. In the details page: |
We have included a status progress bar to give you insights about the progress of the data collection.
Setting a folder or file to Done lets everyone know the task is completed. Once all tasks are completed in a top-level folder or file, the Admin can lock it.
What is the lock functionality for?
All actions on a locked folder or file are disabled. We advise Admins to lock all the main folders before exporting the data collection to the Data Room to avoid modifications in the data collection after the export.
Keep in mind the following aspects when using the lock functionality:
- Only Admins have the permission to lock main folders and files.
- Only files or folders at the highest level in the hierarchy can be locked.
- Only folders or files with the status set to done can be locked.
|
1. Click the Three dots from a top level folder or file and select Lock. |
|
2. Once a folder is locked, all underlying items cannot be edited or moved. |
