To be able to start a new project by yourself, you need to be part of an Organization on the Virtual Vaults platform. If you are, go to secure.virtualvaults.com/my-vv/
In your projects overview you will see the option Start new project on the top right:
Only if your Organization has an active Workspace subscription (Free or Plus), you can create new projects starting in Workspace.
1. Click on Start new project and view the steps.
2. Provide the project name, add an optional reference ID, select your Organization, product category and industry.
3. Choose the storage location, access for the Support team and confirm the opening by clicking on Create project.
If your Organization has an active Workspace Subscription, a Data Room can only be created from within a Workspace. First, follow the steps above to open a Workspace. Once opened, you can create a Data Room directly from the Workspace dashboard.
If you Organization does not have an active Workspace Subscription, you can follow the steps below:
1. Click on Start new project and select what you are starting this project for.
2. Choose the type of deal.
3. Select the industry of your project from the drop-down menu.
4. Select your Organization you are starting the project from and provide the project name.
5. Select Data Room and click on Continue.
6. Decide whether your Organization or a third party will pay for the Data Room.
The Organization pays:
Follow these steps to create a new Data Room from your Organization:
1. Select a term and a plan:
Select your preferred term length and plan to make sure it fits your needs. 2. Fill out the Data Room details:
What should the name of the Data Room be, where does the data need to be stored and who will manage the Data Room?
3. Accept the billing info as stated in the demo overview below:
Is everything you see here correct? If so, agree to the billing information and continue.
After ticking the box on the bottom, you are able to create the Data Room.
"The billing information above is correct. I understand that this will be used as my invoice address and cannot be changed afterwards."
Third party pays:
If a third party (the client) pays for the Data Room:
1. Check the overview of the process, which includes a sample of the order form.
Once you have viewed the steps, you can click on Next.
2. Sign-up details
After filling in all the fields (legal representative name, email address, where the customer is located and an accompanying message), you can click on Send and the order form will be sent to the client.
3. When the third party has reviewed and signed the order form, you will receive an email notification about this. Any Admin in the Workspace can create the Data Room from that moment on.
4. Log in to My Virtual Vaults and click on Create Data Room.
5. Select a term and a plan:
Select your preferred term length and plan to make sure it fits your needs. 6. Fill out the Data Room details:

7. Accept the billing info as stated in the demo overview below:
Is everything you see here correct? If so, agree to the billing information and continue.
After ticking the box on the bottom, you are able to create the Data Room.
