Insights provides visibility into how the Data Room is being used. It helps you understand buy-side engagement, track activity, and monitor document usage.
Only Admins have access to the Insights action, which gives a visualization of activities performed by external users in the Data Room.
The Insights dashboard shows the actions of the Buy side in various graphs and statistics. Analyze and translate how participants are engaging with the Data Room content and Q&A to maximize your deal.
Insights Tips: allowing the Mass Download function can result in losing user activity data!
1. Buy side engagement
Assess the behavior of buyers on document activity and logins. Buy side engagement displays a timeline showing activity for each buyer group over the last 30 days.
You can filter by several items:
- Different criteria, such as logins, login time, document activity and unique users can be selected from the drop down menu to generate a different graph.
- By clicking on the timeline, a combination of charts will be displayed. Apply filters to select a specific group, role or user label, exclude some actions and choose a custom time span.
2. Submitted questions
Track Q&A activity based on the number of submitted questions by buyers. This section displays a timeline of submitted questions over the last 30 days. You can filter by selecting a custom time spine, group, role, or user label to get more in depth look into the Q&A activity.
3. Buy side progress
Follow the progress of accessed documents by the buy side. The buy side progress bar graph shows the percentage of accessed documents (viewed or downloaded) per buyer group. Dive deeper by clicking on the chart to see more information about which group, role, user or user label has accessed which documents.
4. Activity heatmap
See which parts of the Index have been accessed the most based on the buyer actions. Compare this within a group or across different groups to measure different possible interests. The activity heatmap displays a map with the total count of views and downloads (in case of multiple buyer groups) or the most popular folders (in case of one buyer group).
By clicking on the map, you will see an enlarged image of the map. The heatmap view allows you to compare between groups, roles and user labels based on the Index or choose a different setting (most active per group, or most active per folder).
5. Q&A heatmap
View a heatmap of the most popular folders based on the total number of questions asked. This helps you understand which areas of the Data Room are generating the most questions.
6. Top 10 Q&A references
Most referenced folders or documents in questions in the Q&A.
