Custom permissions can be that folders and/or documents shouldn't be visible to certain users or deviating download permissions have to be given.
Click Set permissions at the role (sell side or buy side) you want to change the permissions for. An example can be seen below:
1. Navigate to the folder or document and set the custom permissions accordingly. A deviation icon will appear next to folders and/or documents with deviating permissions.
In the scenario above, folder 2.1 needs to be visible for role Blue. Since the path to the folder needs to be accessible, folder 2 needs to be accessible too. Folder 2 and folders 2.2 and 2.3 have deviating permissions from its parent level. That is why these folders show a deviation icon.
2. You can also use the search function to look for specific documents, placeholders or file types to set the deviating permissions. Type the name of the document or file extension (e.g. ".xls") in the search bar and click The magnifying glass to start the search.
3. Results will be displayed. In the example below, all the Excel files are displayed. To narrow your search, you can use the Available since filter.
4. To set a specific permission on the results of your search, simply click Select all or tick the box or boxes of the documents you want to set deviating permissions for.
5. Choose the new permissions you want and click Apply to finalize the action.
6. Click Save to save the newly set permissions.
Note: When a folder or document is added, documents will inherit the permissions from its parent folder, unless a different option is selected.
