Microsoft 365 Integration
With our Microsoft 365 Integration, you and your team can create and edit Word documents, Excel workbooks, and PowerPoint presentations directly in Workspaces and collaborate on them in real time.
Files are created and edited in a secure online version of Microsoft 365 and stored in Virtual Vaults, with data protected by our security protocols.
How it works
-
Turn on Microsoft 365 Integration
Admins can enable Microsoft 365 Integration in the Workspace settings to allow everyone to create and edit Microsoft files. -
Create or upload files
Click Create from the top bar within your folder or choose to create from the menu on the right.
A Microsoft 365 window will automatically open in a new tab, where you can start editing your file. Changes will be saved automatically to Virtual Vaults.
Return to your Workspace file viewer to see the latest version.
You can also upload Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files from your computer to edit and collaborate on them directly within your Workspace. Supported file types: .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx.
-
Collaborate in real time
You and your team can edit the same file simultaneously. Click Edit in browser to start collaborating.
Tip: Track changes for documents
Track changes to monitor who edited the document, when, and what was altered. You can easily review and accept or reject suggestions.
Tracking changes is off by default. To turn it on:
In the Microsoft 365 tab, go to Review > Track Changes.
To track everyone's changes, go to Review > Track Changes > For Everyone.
To track only your own changes, go to Review > Track Changes > Just Mine.
All change suggestions will be highlighted, and you can easily accept, reject, or navigate between them.
Automatic status updates
When a file is edited in Microsoft 365, its status will automatically change to In Progress to indicate ongoing modifications. Be sure to review the edited files before marking them as Done and exporting them to the Data Room.
Troubleshooting
If files aren’t automatically opening in a new tab, you may need to disable the pop-up blocker in your browser settings.
