You can turn your information request list (IRL) into an interactive workflow in your Workspace within the Requests section.
Workspace Requests are a task and document tracking tool. They help you keep track of what documents you need, who is responsible for providing them, and whether they've been uploaded yet.
Think of Requests as a checklist that shows exactly what's missing, who's working on it, and what's already complete.
Each request is linked to a folder, uploaded documents automatically land in the right place within the Folder structure section, and you can divide work by adding assignees and reviewers. Information stays up to date and you manage everything in one organized view.
Ways to start
-
1. Go to Data collections and start with an empty data collection.
2. Choose Start with a request list
3. Download the newest request list template, fill in your requests and folder names, and upload the file. It will automatically turn into an interactive request list in the Requests view.
Admins can also choose a template from their organization templates. To do this, click on Choose template and select the desired template. If you would like to view the structures before uploading, go to the Templates page in your organization section.
-
Start with a folder structure
Build your folder structure first by uploading folders or adding them one by one. If needed, you can create requests from each folder later.
How it works
Each request in Workspace Requests includes:
- Description
- Linked folder
- Priority
- Status
- Start date
- Due date
- Assignees
- Reviewers
- Chat
Top-level folders from your IRL become sections in the Requests view. You can add more requests at any time by selecting Add request.
You can review and edit descriptions, manage assignees and reviewers (you can add multiple people to each role), set priority, and manage due dates. Use filters and sorting to focus on what you need to work on first.
Fulfilling a request as an assignee
When you’re added as an assignee, you’re responsible for providing the information for that request.
You can fulfill a request in three ways:
- Upload documents
- Add response
- Mark as not applicable if the request doesn’t apply
After you add the information, select Submit for review.
The request status will change to Ready for review, and the reviewer will then check your response.
If something is missing, they will mark the request as incomplete, and its status will return to Open.
Reviewing a request as a reviewer
When an assignee clicks Submit for review, the request status changes to Ready for review.
As a reviewer, you can:
- Check the uploaded documents or text response
- Complete the request if everything looks good
- Mark it as incomplete if information is missing or needs clarification
If marked incomplete, the request moves back to Open, so the assignees can update it.
In the Assigned to you section, you can see all requests you’re responsible for, both as an assignee and as a reviewer. Sort or filter them to see what needs attention first.
