How to open the Archive
2. Copy the self extracting zip file from the USB to the desktop. Larger archives are split into multiple files. Please make sure all files have been copied and use the *.exe file to start extracting.
3. It is recommended to extract to either the Desktop or Local Disk (C:) when choosing a location to extract to. If the location is selected click "Extract".
4. Input the password in the pop up screen and click OK to start the extraction. The password can be found in the Track & Trace email that we have sent. The password can also be found in My Virtual Vaults if a Cloud archive is available.5. Navigate to the chosen extraction location and find the extracted folder named "USB" with the content and reports of the Vault.
The USB contains one or more encrypted .7z files. You need a separate unarchiving program to decrypt and open the archive.
It is advised to use 7-Zip to decrypt and open the archive. Download the program here: https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
1. Copy the .7z file on to your computer from the USB.
2. Right-click on the file - Windows 11 users should also click "Show more options".
3. Click on the option 7-Zip. When the 7-Zip menu opens, choose for “Extract to ”archive-XXXX\”
4. Enter the password that was shared with you via mail.
5. You can now browse the archive folder and all data included.
1. To extract the 7-Zip file correctly, we recommend using The Unarchiver, which is available on the App store.
2. Insert the closing USB in the computer. If a Cloud archive is available, download the zip file from My Virtual Vaults.
3. Copy the 7-Zip file to the desktop. Larger archives are split into multiple files.
Please make sure all files have been copied.
4. Right mouse click on the 7-Zip file and click "Open with" and choose for the program "The Unarchiver".
5. The 7-Zip file will extract to the USB by default. Please change the extraction preferences of the Unarchiver if there is not enough space on the USB for the extraction.
Double click the file and input the password in the pop up screen and click "Continue" to start the extraction. The password can be found in the Track & Trace email that we have sent.
The password can also be found in My Virtual Vaults if a Cloud archive is available.
