Manager
What can a Manager do?
The Manager is the second highest role a user can be given in the Data Room.
The role can be restricted in certain actions, depending on how the permissions are set for this role.
When granted all permissions
- A Manager can manage the permissions on other (lower) roles (Contributor and Guest).
- Managers can also create new lower roles (Contributor and Guest) and set and manage the permissions for it. After this, users can be invited in to the role.
- Managers with all permissions can also perform all content actions on the folders and files, such as downloading, uploading, deleting, moving and renaming.
- Managers with all permissions will also have access to all questions in the Q&A (when given a Answer Drafter or Q&A Coordinator role)
When granted limited permissions
When a Manager role is limited in its permissions on a file or folder, the permissions for that item cannot be set or managed for other (lower) roles.

Regardless of how permissions are set, user management is always possible.
