You can easily upload email messages to your Data Room and preview them directly in the Document viewer. This allows users to read email correspondence without having to download the files first.
To ensure that email messages are displayed correctly and that all relevant information remains accessible, please keep the following points in mind:
- Attachments are not visible in the Document viewer. Any attachments included in the email message cannot be opened or previewed through the Document viewer. If users do not have download permission on the email message, upload the attachments separately as individual documents in the Data Room. This ensures that all relevant content remains available to the intended users.
- Modified email messages should be uploaded as PDF. If an email message has been edited or modified after it was originally received or sent, first print the email to a PDF file and upload the PDF version instead of the original email message. This prevents lay-out issues in the Document viewer.
Document Management Tip: Check how the email messages look in the document viewer before inviting users. There are edge cases where the source file of a modified email message has flaws in the lay-out. This may cause a difference in the lay-out between the supporting program on your PC and the lay-out in the document viewer.
