Document viewer: Email messages

How to upload email messages to the Vault?

You can easily upload email messages to your Vault using the Document viewer. Please keep the following things in mind when you do.

  • Attachments in your email message are not readable through the document viewer. If users have no download permission on the Email message, upload the attachments separately.
  • If an email message is modified, print the email message to a PDF file first and upload the PDF file instead of the email message.

 Document Management Tip: Check how the email messages look in the document viewer before inviting users. There are edge cases where the source file of a modified email message has flaws in the lay-out. This may cause a difference in the lay-out between the supporting program on your PC and the lay-out in the document viewer.
