In Workspace you can upload files or folder in four different ways.
1. Upload a folder structure to create a new data collection. This option is only available to Admins and Managers.
2. Upload a file or folder as a main folder. To do this, click Upload at the top level of the data collection overview.
3. Upload file or folder into a subfolder( or as a new subfolder). Open the three-dot menu in the location where you want to upload and select Upload.
Workspace Tip: It is possible to upload a file and/or folder to any level of your data collection by clicking on the folder. The details window of your folder will pop-up. Simply click on Upload to perform the action.
4. Upload a file within a Request. Open the Request you want to fulfil and click Upload documents to add the required files.
Keep in mind the following aspects when uploading documents/folders:
- Max file size: There is no file size limit, however when a file is bigger than 250 MB a warning sign will pop-up.
- Max number of files in one folder: 1000 files, but keep in mind that if you try to upload a folder of 250 files or more, a warning sign will pop-up.
- Upload errors: Uploading a folder will create file placeholders before uploading. If a upload is canceled, the files that were not uploaded will still have the placeholder in place. This will indicate which files should still be uploaded.
- A document cannot be uploaded when a title in a document starts with a "$" symbol.
- For a smooth upload, always upload from the local disk of your computer (C: drive).
- Avoid switching browser tabs or logging out while the upload action is still in progress.
