Cut and paste

To move files/folders to a different data collection you can use the cut and paste functionality.

Cut using the three dots
1. Click on the Three dots of the file or folder that you want to cut.
2. Select Cut

Cut using the checkbox
1. Check one or more boxes of the files/folders that you want to cut.
2. Select Cut in the top toolbar:

Paste to new location

1. Paste to the main level of any data collection by clicking Paste in the top bar and see it appear as a new main folder at the bottom of your data collection:

2. Paste to another specific location such as a folder, subfolder or existing data collection, by navigating to the desired new location and by using the three dots.

3. Paste to a new data collection by cutting the item(s) from the data collection. After this, create a new data collection and in the new data collection instead of using one of the 4 easy made options, you should click on the option or paste the selection from your clipboard.

 Workspace Tip: With the multi-select tool you can cut and paste multiple files/folders at once! You can also use your keyboard shortcuts for cut and paste!
