The Q&A is a structured question-and-answer tool built into Data Rooms. It allows one group of people to ask questions and another group to answer them, all in one secure, trackable place.
It is used when buyers and their advisors are reviewing documents and need clarification from the seller and their advisors.
During a deal, questions can arise from many people. Without structure, these questions end up scattered across emails, calls and messages. This makes them hard to track and easy to miss.
The Q&A solves this by:
- Keeping all questions and answers in one place
- Ensuring questions are reviewed before being sent
- Ensuring answers are checked before being shared
- Creating a complete audit trail
Note: The Q&A is active when there is at least one Q&A Coordinator (Answer group) and one Question Submitter (Question group) in the Data Room. In case users need to be invited, but the Q&A shouldn't start yet, assign a No Q&A role to the users in the Question group.
